      Thanks for the feedback! I recently got a new job which has taken up a good bit of my time, but I plan on adding some new stuff in the near future and get back to blogging on a regular basis.

      I’m originally from the Tucker/Decatur area, but now I live in the Highlands.

      Hey there,

      I live in the Hale-Strickland section of Inman Park and would like to post the Hartsfield letter, with a reference link to your site, on our neighborhood site.

      I need, though, to cite the origination of the letter but could not find any reference on your web site of where you located the original letter.

      I’ve searched the Atlanta History, Hartsfield, Emory Archives, etc. sites and can find no other versions of this letter.

      I didn’t realize that I hadn’t included the link where I found that letter. Thanks for pointing that out. I’ve now updated the post with that info. It was from a series of scans from an edition of the Atlanta Historical Journal. Here’s the link to the GPB site it was on. It’s about halfway down.

      I’d be thrilled if you reposted it. I think it’s a great story of what happened that day.
