Broken Spell

I’m a guy with big dreams and small expectations. That makes for a hellish walk on the tightrope. But enough about me. With this particular foray into the blogosphere I aim not so much to teach but to learn. I hope to build a compendium of observations about one of my favorite subjects….propaganda….or what propagandists have learned to call “PR”. See what they did there? Slick bastards, they are.
Most of us rarely, if ever, pause to reflect on this ocean of propaganda we all swim in every day. We hardly have the time to, what with all the water we’re treading. It is pervasive, insidious, and omnipresent – and a lot of other 10-cent words, too. We are bombarded by it constantly. Whether we’re sucked into the tube, listening to the radio, reading the paper,  or driving past all those billboards;  there’s just no escaping it. It casts it’s spell over the land with masterful wizardry and assembly-line efficiency.
I think it’s high time the spell is broken. That’s how I roll. Welcome to Broken Spell.
